Welcome to Hazeley Counselling with Vicki Ovenden
Counselling for adults and young people.
Hello and welcome to Hazeley Counselling.
I offer counselling for adults and young people in a safe, supportive, and confidential space.
Change is possible, and it can begin with just one conversation.
If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next step, I offer a calm and compassionate space where you can talk openly and feel heard without judgment. Sessions are available in my garden counselling room, online, or as walk-and-talk sessions on Hazeley Heath in Hartley Wintney.
My approach integrates humanistic, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), and solution-focused techniques to help you gain insight, develop coping strategies, and find practical ways forward. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, low mood, eating habits, self-esteem, bereavement, family or relationship issues, self-harm, or the pressures of everyday life, we will work together to understand what is getting in the way and build effective tools for change.
In addition to my private work, I am also a school counsellor, so I understand how challenging it can feel for young people to navigate school, friendships, relationships, exams, online life, and the pressures of growing up. I have extensive experience supporting neurodiverse young people, and I continue to develop my practice through regular training and ongoing professional development.
For young people, I offer a supportive space to explore feelings, challenges, and experiences without fear of judgment, with a focus on confidence, resilience, and practical coping skills.
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor, which means I have met additional professional standards beyond those required for registered membership, offering reassurance that you are working with someone who has demonstrated a high level of professional competence.
Every person’s story is unique, which is why sessions are tailored to your individual needs and goals. My role is to be alongside you, helping you rediscover your strengths, recognise patterns, and move towards a more balanced and fulfilling life.
